Corso Vittorio Emanuele
The historic main street cuts through the old town on a long diagonal, a single decisive line through an otherwise tangled pattern of medieval lanes.

关于地图
Sassari Map Poster & Print
Sassari is the second city of Sardinia, built on a limestone plateau that slopes gently down towards the northwest and the Gulf of Asinara. On the map, the historic centre forms a compact oval of narrow lanes, crossed diagonally by the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the old main street that runs down through the medieval town.
Beyond the old walls, the nineteenth century added broad avenues and the large Piazza d'Italia, which marks the transition to the modern city. Sassari is a university city, home to one of the oldest universities on the island, and every August it holds the Faradda di li Candareri, a procession of giant wooden candles recognised by UNESCO.
A Sassari map poster shows how clearly these phases can be read from above. The tight weave of the centro storico, the orderly blocks of the Ottocento expansion, and the valleys and olive groves that cut into the city edges all come through in black and white, with the countryside of northern Sardinia beyond.

Piazza d'Italia
The large nineteenth-century square sits at the meeting point of old and new Sassari, a broad open space from which avenues spread outward.
Valleys and olive groves
Green valleys press into the city from the edges, breaking the built-up area into lobes and leaving open ground close to the centre.

为什么选Sassari
一张有意义的地图
Sassari holds a special place for students who studied at its university, for families from northern Sardinia, and for anyone who has walked in the Candelieri procession in August. The map keeps the old town and its streets in view.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a graduation year or a family name. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room and the mood.
