关于地图
Sāvantvādi Map Poster & Print
Sāvantvādi lies in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra, inland from the Konkan coast where the plain begins to rise towards the Western Ghats. Its most distinctive map feature sits right in the middle of town: Moti Talav, a lake with streets wrapped around its shore. The town was once the capital of a princely state, and its palace stands near the water.
That lake gives the map a clear focal point. Old streets and the market area gather on its banks, and roads lead outward to the surrounding villages, paddy fields and forested hills. Sāvantvādi is also known for its crafts, especially painted wooden toys and the traditional Ganjifa playing cards, which are still made in the town.
A Sāvantvādi map poster places the lake at the centre of the composition, a calm white shape surrounded by dense streets. From there the linework loosens towards the green hills to the east. It is a graceful and recognisable map, well suited to anyone who knows the town or the Konkan.

Old town streets
Around the lake and market, lanes are narrow and closely spaced, forming the densest area of the map and the historic core of the former state capital.
Ghats foothills
East of town the ground rises towards the Western Ghats, and the street network thins into winding roads through hilly, wooded country.
