Walled old town
The historic centre keeps the rounded outline of its medieval fortifications. Narrow streets are packed inside, and remains of walls and towers line its edges.

关于地图
Sebeş Map Poster & Print
Sebeş sits in Alba County, where the Sebeş River leaves the southern mountains and enters the Mureş valley. Transylvanian Saxons founded the town and called it Mühlbach. It keeps a compact historic centre whose outline still follows its medieval fortifications. On a map, the old town is an oval of tight streets, with newer districts spreading around it on the flat valley floor.
The large Lutheran church dominates the centre, and parts of the town walls and towers survive along the edges of the old core. The river runs close by. The German name means mill brook, a reminder of the water that once powered workshops here. Today the A1 motorway passes near the town and adds a long, sweeping line across the valley.
Lancrăm, now part of the town, is the birthplace of Lucian Blaga, the poet and philosopher who was one of Romania's major twentieth-century writers. A Sebeş map poster shows the classic Transylvanian pattern clearly: a fortified core, a ring of later streets, river and railway on the valley floor, and hills rising toward the Carpathians.

Evangelical church
The large Gothic church of the Saxon community stands at the centre of the old town. The square around it is the natural focal point of the map.
River valley
The Sebeş River and the broad Mureş lowland give the town a flat, open setting. Road, rail and motorway cross it in long parallel lines.

为什么选Sebeş
一张有意义的地图
Sebeş appeals to Romanians from the region, to Transylvanian Saxon families abroad and to readers of Blaga. The walled core has a clear, compact shape that looks good framed, especially at 30×40 cm or A3.
Choose a title such as Sebeş or Mühlbach, add a subtitle, and personalise the coordinates line. The Paper and Classic black & white styles suit the old town well. The $9 download covers all six sizes, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
