The Zambezi
The river runs along the southern edge of town, wide and meandering, with side channels and islands that make the waterline one of the most detailed parts of the whole drawing.

关于地图
Sesheke Map Poster & Print
Sesheke sits on the northern bank of the Zambezi in Zambia's Western Province, directly across the water from Katima Mulilo in Namibia. On a map the river dominates everything: a broad, slow line bending past the town, fringed by channels and low floodplain that rarely hold a straight edge. The built-up area keeps close to the higher ground, a loose arrangement of blocks rather than a tight grid.
The most legible feature is the road bridge, which carries the route across the Zambezi into Namibia and gives the town its role as a border crossing. From there a main road runs back through Sesheke and on across the plains, while smaller tracks thin out into scattered homesteads. The contrast between the dense river edge and the open interior is what gives the drawing its structure.
A Sesheke map poster reduces all of this to line and space. Water becomes a pale ribbon, roads become fine strokes, and the empty ground between them is left open rather than filled with detail. The result reads less like a street plan and more like a portrait of a place shaped by one great river and the crossing that spans it.

Bridge to Namibia
A single road bridge links Sesheke with Katima Mulilo on the opposite bank, a short straight line across the water that anchors the composition and marks the international border.
Open floodplain
Beyond the town the map empties into seasonal floodplain and bush, crossed by only a few tracks, so the settlement appears as a compact cluster set against wide, quiet ground.

为什么选Sesheke
一张有意义的地图
Sesheke is the kind of place people carry with them: a posting, a childhood home, a crossing on a longer journey through southern Africa. A map of it keeps the river and the bridge in view, the two things anyone who has been there remembers first.
You can add your own title, a date or a short subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, then download the HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper, framed if you wish.
