Compact settlement
Built-up areas form a small, contained cluster rather than a spreading city. This keeps the centre of the map focused and easy to read.

关于地图
Sil-li Map Poster & Print
Sil-li is a locality in South Pyongan province, in the western part of North Korea. Detailed public information about it is limited, and the map is the best way to understand the place. It shows a modest cluster of streets and buildings, with agricultural land and low relief spreading out on all sides.
The province lies within the broader Taedong river region, where farmed valleys alternate with ridges. Settlements here tend to follow roads and watercourses, and the pattern around Sil-li reflects that. Roads lead toward neighbouring towns, and field boundaries and small streams run through the gaps between them.
A Sil-li map poster is spare by nature. Its strength is in the balance between the few built-up lines and the open ground around them. Printed in black and white, it becomes almost abstract: a quiet record of one place in a country that most people know only as an outline.

Farmland surroundings
Open fields surround the settlement. On the poster they become areas of calm negative space that frame the street lines.
Valley and ridge terrain
South Pyongan's mix of low hills and river valleys shapes where roads can run, and gently bends the routes leading out of Sil-li.
