Sinwŏn-ŭp is the administrative town of Sinwŏn County in South Hwanghae Province, in the southwest of North Korea. The province is largely agricultural, and the map reflects that setting. A compact settlement of streets and blocks sits among broad cultivated land, while roads and irrigation lines cross the countryside toward neighbouring towns.
