Rio do Peixe
The river passes close to the town and is the main natural line on the map, a thread of water through dry country that explains why the settlement grew here.

关于地图
Sousa Map Poster & Print
Sousa lies in the interior of Paraíba, in the semi-arid sertão of northeastern Brazil. The town grew beside the Rio do Peixe, and on the map the river's course and the lines of vegetation along it are the main natural features in a largely open, flat landscape. The streets form a broad grid that extends from the older centre towards the highway.
The surrounding municipality is best known for the Vale dos Dinossauros, the Valley of the Dinosaurs, where fossilised footprints left in ancient riverbed sediments are preserved in the rock. It is one of the most significant sites of its kind in Brazil and draws visitors to a region otherwise known for farming and hot, dry weather.
A Sousa map poster shows a town arranged with a practical regularity that suits the sertão: wide blocks, long straight roads and a river that matters because water is scarce. In the Sand style, the tones echo the colour of the region's earth, while Classic black & white brings out the geometry of the grid.

Regular town grid
Sousa's streets are laid out in fairly even blocks, stretching from the centre towards the main roads, which gives the poster a calm, ordered pattern.
Dinosaur valley
Outside the town lies the Vale dos Dinossauros, where fossil footprints are preserved in rock, a reason many people know the name Sousa beyond Paraíba.
