Torrent Map Poster & Print
Torrent lies just west of Valencia, in the Horta Sud district, where the irrigated plain begins to rise toward low hills. The town shares its name with the ravine that crosses it, the Barranc de Torrent, a broad, usually dry bed that can become a powerful watercourse after heavy rain. On a map it forms a clear, winding channel through the urban area.
At the heart of the old town stands the Torre de Torrent, a tower from the Islamic period that has become the city's emblem. Around it, older streets are short and irregular, while later expansion spread in straighter blocks toward the plain. To the west the land rises and residential areas become more spacious, with houses set among pines.
Metro lines connect Torrent to central Valencia, and orchards and fields still border parts of the town. A Torrent map poster shows how these layers fit together, the ravine, the old core and the modern grid, forming a composition that is both orderly and surprisingly varied for a town of its size.
