Colonial-era centre
The heart of town follows the classic Spanish-American grid, with square blocks around a central plaza, forming a compact, recognisable core amid the looser streets around it.

关于地图
Turbaco Map Poster & Print
Turbaco sits a short distance southeast of Cartagena, on higher ground that lifts above the flat coastal plain of Bolívar. The elevation brings a slightly milder climate than the port city below, and for generations Turbaco has served as a place of retreat from the heat of the coast, as well as a growing residential town in its own right.
The town is known for its mud volcanoes, small cones of bubbling mud in the surrounding countryside that Alexander von Humboldt visited and described during his travels at the start of the nineteenth century. Turbaco also has a botanical garden that preserves a portion of the region's dry forest and native plants.
On a Turbaco map poster, a compact colonial-era centre with a traditional grid gives way to newer neighbourhoods that spread along the main road toward Cartagena and onto the surrounding slopes. The contrast between the orderly core and the looser outer streets makes a composition with both structure and movement.

Road to Cartagena
The main road toward Cartagena draws a strong line out of town to the northwest, and much of Turbaco's newer growth has followed it downhill toward the coast.
Surrounding slopes
Beyond the centre, streets curve with the uneven terrain, and pockets of green, including the botanical garden, loosen the linework into a softer, more organic pattern.

为什么选Turbaco
一张有意义的地图
Turbaco means cooler evenings, family weekends and a quieter pace to many people from Cartagena and the Caribbean coast. A map of it is a subtle reminder of that, and it pairs well with a Cartagena poster as a set.
You can add your own title and subtitle, such as a family surname or a wedding date, adjust the coordinates, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the town's colonial grid especially well.
