关于地图
Vierzon Map Poster & Print
Vierzon grew where the Yèvre and the Arnon join the Cher, at the northwestern edge of Berry. On a map, the water is the first thing you notice: the broad Cher curving along the south, the Yèvre coming in from the east, and the straight line of the Canal de Berry running alongside. The old town sits on higher ground above the rivers, its narrow streets packed closely together.
In the nineteenth century the town became an industrial centre, known for porcelain, glass and agricultural machinery, and above all for its railway junction, where the line from Paris divides toward Tours, Bourges and Limoges. Tracks, sidings and the yards around the station still take up a generous share of the plan, drawn as long parallel strokes that contrast with the older, curving streets.
A Vierzon map poster captures that meeting of water, rail and old town in a single frame. The edges soften into the forests and farmland of the Sologne to the north and the open Champagne berrichonne to the south, giving the composition a calm border, while the river valley stays the clear spine running across the sheet.

Canal de Berry
The canal, built in the early nineteenth century to carry goods across the region, runs in a precise straight line near the Yèvre, a man-made counterpoint to the natural rivers.
Railway junction
Long, fanned-out tracks around the station show why Vierzon became known as a rail crossroads, the place where routes toward Tours, Bourges and Limoges part ways.

为什么选Vierzon
一张有意义的地图
Vierzon's plan tells a story of rivers and industry without a single label, which makes it a natural choice for anyone with family roots in Berry or a fondness for French railway towns. It suits a hallway or study, where it can be read slowly over time.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a surname or the year you arrived, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files in six sizes, or order a printed poster from a print partner near you.
