关于地图
Vyksa Map Poster & Print
Vyksa grew around ironworks founded in the eighteenth century by the Batashev brothers, industrialists who built a network of works in this forested area. Water powered the mills, and the ponds created then still shape the town. On the map they are long, irregular bodies of water set among the streets.
Metallurgy is still central to Vyksa today, and a large steel works occupies a prominent part of the town. Around the built-up area, dense forest covers most of the surroundings. It gives the map a clear boundary and a strong contrast between the settled centre and the woodland beyond.
A Vyksa map poster shows an industrial town shaped by water and trees. The ponds and the works form the main shapes, and the residential streets fill the space between them. In monochrome, the combination of hard industrial geometry and soft pond outlines works especially well.

Steel works
The large metallurgical plant takes up a substantial area. Its rail sidings and buildings appear as a block of hard, straight lines.
Forest edge
Dense woodland surrounds Vyksa. It frames the town with a broad, quiet area of tone and shows how isolated the settlement was when it was founded.
