关于地图
Wajir Map Poster & Print
Wajir is the main town of Wajir County in northeastern Kenya, on a wide, flat, semi-arid plain. From above it appears as a low, spread-out settlement. Its sandy streets form a loose grid, and compounds and open ground sit between the houses. The main roads leave town toward other regional centres, and the landscape beyond is mostly open scrub.
The town has long been known for its shallow wells, which made it an important stopping point for pastoral communities and traders across the region. An airport with a long runway lies close to the town and shows as one of the clearest straight lines on the map.
A Wajir map poster reflects the openness of the place. The street network is simple and generous, with wide gaps and few curves, and the airstrip and main roads give it a firm structure. In black and white, the empty ground around the town is part of the design and says as much about the place as the streets do.

Airstrip
The long runway near town is one of the strongest straight lines on the map and sets the orientation of the whole composition.
Surrounding plain
Flat scrubland extends in every direction. Only a few roads and tracks cross it, so it frames the town with calm empty space.
