关于地图
Walcourt Map Poster & Print
Walcourt stands on a rocky spur in the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region of Wallonia, above the valley of the Eau d'Heure. From above, the old town forms a compact knot. Short streets spiral around the high point where the basilica stands, then drop quickly toward the river and the railway threaded along the valley floor.
Past the historic core, the map opens into the rolling Walloon countryside: scattered villages, field boundaries and small woods linked by country roads. The municipality covers a wide rural area, so the town centre is only a small concentrated mark among open land. To the south lie the large reservoirs of the Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure.
Walcourt is best known for the Basilica of Saint-Materne and the Marche de la Trinité, a folkloric military procession that is part of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse marches recognised by UNESCO. A Walcourt map poster shows the medieval shape of the town clearly, with its tight crown of streets above the valley.

Eau d'Heure valley
The river and the railway run together below the spur, drawing a soft curved line that separates the old town from the land around it.
Countryside villages
Small hamlets across the wider municipality appear as separate clusters among the fields, linked by a loose network of lanes.

为什么选Walcourt
一张有意义的地图
Walcourt means a great deal to people who have walked in the Trinity procession or grown up under the basilica's tower. Its compact hilltop plan makes a clear, balanced image, easy to read from across a room and full of detail up close.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed to mark a home, a wedding or a family tradition. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files come in six print sizes for $9, or you can order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
