Contour-following roads
Most roads bend tightly around the hills, and some switch back several times. On the poster they form flowing lines that trace the shape of the land.

关于地图
Wellington Map Poster & Print
Wellington is a cantonment town in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, just beside Coonoor. Its map is shaped by altitude. Roads wind around the contours of steep hills, doubling back on themselves in long hairpins, and buildings sit in clusters on the flatter shelves wherever the terrain allows.
The town is closely tied to the Indian armed forces. It is home to the Defence Services Staff College and to the regimental centre of the Madras Regiment. Those institutions show up on the map as large, well-ordered compounds with sports fields, parade grounds and tree-lined internal roads, set apart from the denser civilian bazaar area.
A Wellington map poster shows a hill station planned around both landscape and military routine. Open grounds and wooded slopes take up a large share of the frame, and the curving roads link one plateau to the next. The overall pattern is calm and spacious, very different from the plains towns further down the mountains.

Military campuses
The staff college and regimental grounds form large, orderly enclaves with playing fields and neat internal streets, easy to pick out among the looser civilian areas.
Link to Coonoor
Wellington runs almost directly into Coonoor, and the road and the Nilgiri Mountain Railway corridor connect the two across the hillside.

为什么选Wellington
一张有意义的地图
Many officers, cadets and their families spend formative years in Wellington, so a map of the cantonment makes a meaningful keepsake for a course, a posting or a graduation. It also appeals to anyone who loves the Nilgiris.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a course number or a year, and set your own coordinates line. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a digital file or a framed print.
