Ye Map Poster & Print
Ye is a town in the south of Myanmar's Mon State, on the long, narrow coastal strip between the Tenasserim hills and the Andaman Sea. It sits on the Ye River a short distance inland from the coast, and the river's bends and the lowland around it define the town's shape on the map.
The centre is laid out in a fairly regular pattern of streets close to the river, while the edges fray into gardens, plantations and village lanes. The railway and the main road running along the coast pass through the area, linking the town with Mawlamyine to the north and Dawei to the south.
The surrounding region is known for its rubber plantations and its many Buddhist pagodas, whose compounds appear as small enclosed spaces among the houses. A Ye map poster shows a modest town shaped by water, hills and coast, a quiet composition of meandering lines and green surroundings.

Inland the terrain rises toward forested ranges along the border with Thailand, so the landscape shifts from flat lowland to folded higher ground across the frame.
