关于地图
Zambezi Map Poster & Print
Zambezi is a town in the North-Western Province of Zambia, on the east bank of the upper Zambezi River. It was formerly called Balovale and is the centre of a district where the Lunda and Luvale peoples live. From above, the town is compact, with a few main roads and a looser pattern of streets and plots near the river.
The river dominates the map. It is already wide here, with sandbanks, side channels and seasonal floodplains that change with the rains. The town is also known for the Likumbi Lya Mize, an annual Luvale ceremony that includes traditional Makishi masquerade dancing.
A Zambezi map poster shows the small town beside one of Africa's great rivers, which makes for a striking contrast in scale. The river's broad, braided course curves across the composition, and the modest street network sits on its bank.

Compact town grid
A few main roads and a small set of streets form the town centre, a light pattern of lines set back from the river's edge.
Floodplain edges
Seasonal floodplains and wetlands border the river. They are shown mostly as open space, so the town and river stand out clearly on the poster.
