Ad Dindar, often written Dinder, is a town in Sennar State in south-eastern Sudan, beside the river that shares its name. The Dinder River flows down from the Ethiopian highlands towards the Blue Nile, and on a map its winding course with wooded banks forms the natural edge of the town.
