Bobigny Map Poster & Print
Bobigny, northeast of Paris, is the prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis, and its map shows a town largely rebuilt in the second half of the twentieth century. Large housing estates and administrative buildings sit beside small blocks of older detached houses. Major roads, including the A86 motorway, cut through the area in wide bands.
The Canal de l'Ourcq runs along the south of the town in a long, straight line of water, one of the canals built to supply Paris. Line 5 of the Paris Métro ends at Bobigny–Pablo Picasso, close to the prefecture. The former Bobigny deportation station, now a memorial site, is a reminder of the town's role during the Second World War.
