Lobos Map Poster
Lobos is a town in Buenos Aires Province, about a hundred kilometres southwest of the capital. It follows the plan used in many towns of the pampas. A regular chessboard of square blocks is centred on a main plaza, and wider avenues mark its edges. Beyond them, straight rural roads cross completely flat land with ranches, fields and stands of trees.
The town is known in Argentina as the birthplace of Juan Domingo Perón, who was born here in 1895. His childhood home is preserved as a museum. South of the town lies Laguna de Lobos, a large shallow lake used for fishing, sailing and weekend visits by people from Buenos Aires.

South of town the lagoon spreads across the flat land with a soft, uneven shoreline. It is the largest open shape in the frame, surrounded by fields and rural roads.
