Mehoni is a town in northern Ethiopia, in the lowland zone where the high plateau begins to fall toward the Afar region. The surroundings are broad and fairly level, with the mountains of the escarpment visible on the western side. On the map the town is a compact cluster of streets set within a wide agricultural landscape.
