Molde Map Poster
Molde stretches along the northern shore of the Moldefjord in western Norway, and on the map it forms a long ribbon of streets between water and steep, wooded slopes. The town cannot spread far inland, so it grows sideways along the fjord, with the shoreline running as a continuous line beneath it.
Molde is known as the Town of Roses and for the Molde Panorama. From the Varden viewpoint above town, visitors can count more than two hundred mountain peaks across the fjord on a clear day. The town also hosts Moldejazz, one of Europe's oldest jazz festivals, held every July.
