Panlong is a town in the western part of Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country of the eastern Sichuan Basin. The landscape around it is made of low, rounded hills, valleys and farmland. The built-up area follows the flatter ground, and the roads curve to fit the land rather than running straight. From above, the town appears as a compact cluster set in a gently folded countryside.
