Rongai is a town in Nakuru County, Kenya, in the Rift Valley northwest of Nakuru city. It should not be confused with Ongata Rongai near Nairobi. This Rongai sits in a farming area of the highlands and is the local centre for the surrounding farms, trading plots and settlements.
On a map, the town is compact. A handful of streets and a small commercial core gather along the main road, and the pattern soon opens into large farm parcels, rural tracks and scattered homesteads.
