Strathroy Map Poster
Strathroy lies west of London in Middlesex County, southwestern Ontario, and forms part of the municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. It developed in the nineteenth century as a mill and railway town in the middle of productive farmland, and agriculture still frames the town on every side.
The Sydenham River winds through Strathroy, and its green valley cuts across the regular street grid in a long, looping curve. The downtown runs along a main street near the river, surrounded by residential blocks. Newer subdivisions with curving streets extend the town outward toward the surrounding concession roads.
