The long, narrow strip of the old Kai Tak runway reaches into the bay nearby, a bold straight line that anchors any wider view of the estate.

Tak Long Estate Map Poster & Print
Tak Long Estate is a public housing estate in Kowloon City district, built on land that once formed part of Kai Tak, Hong Kong's former international airport. On the map it appears as a set of large residential blocks within a planned street layout, a clear contrast to the tight, older streets of Kowloon City and To Kwa Wan nearby.
The Kai Tak development has turned the former airport into a new district of housing, parks and public facilities, including the Kai Tak Sports Park. The old runway, still stretching out into Kowloon Bay, remains the dominant shape in the area, a long straight strip of land that is instantly recognisable from above.
A Tak Long Estate map poster captures a very recent piece of Hong Kong built on a very familiar landscape. A close crop shows the estate's blocks and surrounding roads; a wider frame brings in the runway, the bay and the dense neighbourhoods that once watched aircraft approach low over their rooftops.

Planned layout
Wide roads and large plots define the new Kai Tak district, giving the estate a more open and orderly structure than the older streets of Kowloon.
Kowloon Bay
Water surrounds the former airport site on several sides, and the harbour edges give the poster clean outlines and generous open space around the dense city.
