Branching tracks
Paths and dirt roads fan out between homesteads and fields, forming an organic network rather than a planned street pattern.

Cage Mazumbo Map Poster & Print
Cage Mazumbo lies in Bengo, the province that wraps around the north and east of Luanda. The coordinates place it inland, away from the Atlantic coast, in a landscape of farmland, scrub and scattered villages. Detailed information about the settlement is limited, and on a map it appears not as a dense town but as a spread of paths and small clusters of buildings.
That openness is its character from above. Unpaved tracks connect homesteads and fields, often following the easiest line across the land rather than any grid, and the gaps between them are as much a part of the picture as the lines themselves. Watercourses and seasonal channels may appear as thin traces running through the terrain.
A Cage Mazumbo map poster is a quiet, sparse composition, more drawing than diagram. It records a place at a scale that most maps overlook, and for someone with a family connection to Bengo it can hold far more meaning than any capital city map. The minimalist style suits the lightness of the network well.

Open ground
Large empty areas between the lines give the poster a spacious, calm feel, with the settlement's shape emerging from where people actually move.
Inland Bengo setting
The location sits in the interior of Bengo province, east of the coastal plain around Luanda, in a largely rural part of northern Angola.
