Aurora sits in the southern part of Calabarzon, the Luzon region named from the first letters of its five provinces: Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon. From above, a town like this reads as a loose knot of roads where a few main routes meet, with homes lined along them and open ground reaching out in every direction.
The shape is modest and uneven. There is no strict grid, and the lines follow the land, curving around rises and field edges rather than a planned layout. Rendered in black and white, those irregular paths turn into a quiet drawing of how a rural Philippine community actually grows: along its roads first, then slowly outward into the green between them.
