Ayodhya Map Poster
Ayodhya lies on the southern bank of the Sarayu River in Uttar Pradesh, next to the older administrative town of Faizabad, which now forms part of the same municipal area. On a map the river curves along the northern edge, the ghats form a line of steps and platforms along its bank, and the old town is a dense web of narrow lanes.
Revered as the birthplace of Rama, the city is one of the most important pilgrimage centres in India. The Ram Mandir, consecrated in January 2024, has transformed the scale of visits and prompted new roads, an airport and a rebuilt railway station. Hanuman Garhi and the riverside Ram ki Paidi are among its long-established sacred sites.
An Ayodhya map poster captures a city in the middle of change: the ancient lane pattern near the river, new wide avenues cut through or around it, and the long curve of the Sarayu holding everything in place. It is a map with deep layers, and it rewards a large print size where individual lanes remain readable.

Temple lanes
The old core is packed with narrow, winding lanes that lead between temples and ashrams, the most intricate part of the whole map.
New avenues
Recently widened roads connect the temple complex with the station, the highway and the airport, drawing clear new lines through the traditional pattern.

لماذا Ayodhya
خريطة تحمل معنى
For pilgrims, a map of Ayodhya is a record of a journey, and for families from the city it is a portrait of home at a moment of great change. The layout of lanes, river and ghats makes it instantly recognisable.
Add the date of a visit or a family name in the subtitle, adjust the title and coordinates, and choose one of five styles. Order a printed poster on matte paper, or download print-ready files for $9.
