Wadsworth lies in Medina County in northeast Ohio, a short drive west of Akron. The map centres on a traditional downtown where the main streets cross, surrounded by an even grid of older residential blocks. Further out the pattern changes: newer subdivisions bring looping drives and cul-de-sacs, and then the lines thin out into the square fields of the countryside.
For much of the twentieth century Wadsworth was known for making matches, as the Ohio Match Company produced its Blue Tip matches here. That industrial past sits alongside a scatter of parks and ponds, which appear as calm open shapes on the print. Interstate 76 passes the southern side of town, a clean modern line against the older rural road grid.
