Mapa
Bedford Map Poster & Print
From above, Bedford is organised around the River Great Ouse, which runs west to east through the town centre in a gentle series of bends. On the north bank the older streets gather around the high street and the church, while the Embankment follows the water with a long, tree-lined curve. Small islands and weirs break the river into several parallel channels near the centre.
Beyond the core, the map settles into the pattern of a Victorian and Edwardian town: dense rows of terraced streets, rail lines cutting a clean diagonal, and later suburbs with looser, looping roads towards the edges. A bypass loops around much of the built-up area, giving the town a clear outline against the Bedfordshire fields that surround it on every side.
Bedford is the county town of Bedfordshire and is closely linked with John Bunyan, the author of The Pilgrim's Progress, who lived and preached here. A Bedford map poster traces the river that has shaped the town for centuries and turns its bridges, parks and terraces into a clean black-and-white drawing that works well on a study or hallway wall.

Divided river channels
Near the town centre the Great Ouse splits around small islands and weirs, so the map shows several thin, parallel strands of water instead of a single line.
Terraced grid
North and south of the river, tightly packed terraces form fine, regular hatching on the map, a clear record of the town's growth in the railway era.

Zašto Bedford
Mapa koja nešto znači
Bedford is a place people often have a long connection with, whether they grew up by the river, studied at one of its schools or settled here later. A map of its streets and water is a quiet, personal way to keep that connection visible at home.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a street, a year or a family name, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, framed if you like.
