Saco River falls
The river narrows and drops beside the old mills in the centre, with bridges crossing to Saco. This is where the city began and where the map is densest.

Mapa
Biddeford Map Poster & Print
Biddeford faces the city of Saco across the Saco River, and the river shapes the whole map. It bends through the centre, drops over falls beside large mill blocks and then widens towards the Atlantic. Bridges link the two cities at the falls, and the downtown streets climb away from the water in a compact grid.
Biddeford grew as a textile town in the nineteenth century, and the massive brick mills along the river still set the scale of downtown, many of them now converted to housing, studios and workshops. East of the centre, roads cross marsh and woodland to the coast, where Biddeford Pool and the beaches trace a ragged edge of coves and points.
A Biddeford map poster brings these layers together: the dense mill district, the river with its islands and falls, the looser residential streets and the irregular coastline. The University of New England also has a campus here near the mouth of the river, adding another cluster of paths and buildings to the drawing.

Mill district
Large brick textile mills line the riverbank as long, heavy blocks that stand out clearly against the smaller downtown streets around them.
Biddeford Pool
On the coast, a nearly enclosed tidal basin and the peninsula around it draw a distinctive curved shape, very different from the grid inland.

Zašto Biddeford
Mapa koja nešto znači
Biddeford suits people who love working towns with a story: former mill workers' families, students from the university, or people who found a home in a converted mill loft. The river and coastline make a strong composition on any wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a date, a street name or a short line, and adjust the coordinates text. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the industrial past, and Paper works well for the coast.
