Mapa
Canton Map Poster & Print
Canton is the seat of Stark County in northeastern Ohio, south of Akron. The map shows a classic Midwestern plan: a downtown grid of evenly spaced streets around a central square, surrounded by residential neighbourhoods on the same compass-aligned pattern. Nimishillen Creek and its branches, together with the rail lines, cut diagonally through that order and break it into distinct districts.
The city is best known as the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a fitting place because the league that became the NFL was organised in Canton in 1920. It was also the hometown of President William McKinley, whose domed memorial stands on a hill at the western edge of downtown. Steel and manufacturing shaped the city for much of the twentieth century.
A Canton map poster is about order and interruption. The grid runs steadily across the sheet, and creeks, railways and parkland slice through it at angles. In black and white the effect is clean and architectural. It suits football fans, Stark County families and anyone who appreciates a well-built American city plan.

Creeks and rail lines
Nimishillen Creek and the railways cross the city at angles to the grid. These diagonal lines divide Canton into recognisable neighbourhoods and industrial corridors.
McKinley memorial grounds
West of downtown, the memorial park forms a green break in the street pattern. Its curving paths contrast with the straight blocks around it.
