Mapa
Chessington Map Poster & Print
Chessington lies at the southern edge of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in south-west London. From above, it is a place of transition: suburban streets of semi-detached houses to the north, and to the south fields, woods and the open land of the Metropolitan Green Belt stretching towards Surrey.
The area is best known for Chessington World of Adventures, a theme park and zoo whose grounds appear on the map as a large irregular space south of the housing. The A243 and the nearby A3 carry traffic through the area, and the railway line ends at Chessington South station.
A Chessington map poster captures this edge-of-London character, with orderly suburban streets meeting open countryside. It is a composition of contrasts: close-packed houses and gardens on one side, broad fields and woods on the other, and the looping paths of the theme park in between.

Green belt edge
South of the suburban streets, the map opens up into fields and woodland, showing where London's built-up area gives way to the countryside.
Rail terminus
The railway line through the area ends at Chessington South, a short, clear line on the map that marks the edge of the London suburban network.
