Mapa
Denton Map Poster & Print
Denton lies at the northern edge of the Dallas–Fort Worth region, where Interstate 35 divides into two branches, one heading to Dallas and the other to Fort Worth. On a map the highways form a clear framework around the city. Between them, the older street grid spreads out from a compact historic centre into newer neighbourhoods and open prairie.
At the heart of the city is the courthouse square, built around the Denton County Courthouse, completed in 1896. The streets around it form a tight grid of shops, music venues and restaurants. Denton has two universities, the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University, and their campuses show up on the map as broad blocks near the centre.
The city has a strong live music scene, closely tied to the University of North Texas and its well-known jazz programme. Lewisville Lake lies to the southeast and Ray Roberts Lake to the north. A Denton map poster brings the square, the campuses and the long lines of the highways together in a portrait of a college town with its own identity.
