Moscow Canal
The canal that brings Volga water to the capital runs along the town. Its straight, engineered banks contrast with the rounded shapes of the nearby reservoirs.

Mapa
Dolgoprudnyy Map Poster & Print
Dolgoprudnyy lies just beyond Moscow's northern border, and from above its most striking features are water. The Moscow Canal runs along the town and widens into reservoirs with irregular shorelines, while a railway line to the capital crosses the built-up area. Between them are blocks of Soviet and modern housing, green courtyards and forest edges.
The town was founded in the 1930s as a centre for airship construction, and that history remains part of its identity. Today it is best known as home to the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the university known as Phystech. Its campus is a clearly defined area of academic buildings and dormitories on the map.
A Dolgoprudnyy map poster brings these layers together: the straight line of the canal, the softer outlines of the reservoirs, the railway and the campus. For graduates the institute's buildings are the obvious place to look, but the composition works as a whole thanks to the balance between water and city.

Phystech campus
The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology occupies a recognisable area of academic buildings and dormitories. It is a natural point on the map for alumni.
Rail to Moscow
A commuter line runs through the town toward the capital. Its stations anchor the residential areas, and the tracks cut a clear diagonal across the poster.
