Ehingen lies on the Danube in Baden-Württemberg, southwest of Ulm, where the young river winds through a broad valley at the southern edge of the Swabian Jura. The historic town sits on higher ground above the floodplain. The town is known in the region for its brewing tradition, with several breweries still in operation, and church towers mark the old centre.
