Mapa
Fazakerley Map Poster & Print
Fazakerley lies in the north of Liverpool, bordered by Walton, Aintree and Kirkby. It grew mostly in the twentieth century as the city expanded outward, and on a map it is a patchwork of residential estates, terraced streets, playing fields and larger institutional sites. The pattern is typical of outer Liverpool, with curving estate avenues beside older straight rows of houses.
The largest single block on the map is the site of Aintree University Hospital, which, despite its name, stands within Fazakerley. The Merseyrail line toward Kirkby runs through the district, with a station at Fazakerley, and draws a clean line through the housing. Just beyond the neighbourhood lies Aintree, whose racecourse hosts the Grand National.
A Fazakerley map poster shows north Liverpool as it is lived in day to day: estates and parks, the hospital, the railway and the roads leading into the city. It suits people who were born at the hospital, grew up in the district or still call it home, and it pairs naturally with a map of Liverpool city centre.
