Germī is a town in the north of Ardabil Province, in the hill country between the Ardabil highlands and the lowlands of Moghan near the Azerbaijan border. From above, the town gathers along a few main roads. Around them are rolling slopes, farmland and small valleys. The built area has no strict grid. Streets follow the terrain, and the town thins gradually into the surrounding country.
The wider area is farming and herding land, with a landscape of open hills and seasonal green.
