Mapa
Ghotki Map Poster & Print
From above, Ghotki reads as a dense knot of lanes set in a wide sheet of farmland. The land around it is almost perfectly flat, so what gives the map its structure is water and transport: straight irrigation channels, field boundaries and the long line of the railway running across the district on its way between Karachi and the north.
Ghotki lies on the left bank of the Indus in upper Sindh, and much of the surrounding land depends on canals fed from the Guddu Barrage upstream. On a map this shows up as long, confident lines cutting through the fields, with smaller distributaries branching off at regular intervals. The town itself is more organic, a tighter cluster of streets around its older market core.
A Ghotki map poster shows that contrast clearly. There is the irregular, closely built centre, then the looser edges where houses thin out into plots and orchards, then the geometry of the irrigated plain. In black and white, without the colours of crops or the heat of the Sindhi summer, the town is reduced to its bones, and the pattern becomes easy to read.

Railway corridor
The main line linking Karachi with Punjab passes through the district, a steady line on the map that the town grew up alongside and still organises itself around.
Dense town core
The centre of Ghotki is a tight weave of narrow streets and small blocks, clearly distinct from the open, regular farmland that surrounds it on every side.

Zašto Ghotki
Mapa koja nešto znači
For people from Ghotki, or with family there, this is a way to keep the shape of home on a wall far away. The map is quiet and unsentimental, but anyone who knows the town will find their own streets, the route to the station and the canals they crossed without much trouble.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, perhaps with a family name or a year that matters, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand suit the warm, flat plain particularly well.
