Upland basin
The town occupies a raised plateau enclosed by mountains, so the dense street grid sits within a wide margin of open land that reads almost like a frame on the printed map.

Göksun Map Poster & Print
Göksun sits high in the interior of Kahramanmaraş province, on an upland basin well above the lowland plains to the south. From above, the town reads as a tight cluster of streets surrounded by broad, lightly marked terrain: fields, pasture and the long folds of the surrounding mountains. The contrast between the dense centre and the open land around it gives the map a clear, simple silhouette.
The town takes its name from the Göksu, a stream that runs through the district and feeds into the wider river systems of southern Turkey. On a Göksun map poster the watercourse is one of the few curving lines in an otherwise compact street pattern, and it helps anchor the town within the plateau. Roads leave the centre in several directions, tracing routes toward neighbouring valleys and towns.
Winters here are long and cold for the latitude, a consequence of the altitude, and the landscape around the town is largely agricultural. The region was among those affected by the major earthquakes of February 2023, and parts of the town have been rebuilt since. Rendered in black and white, the plan becomes a quiet record of a highland settlement and the roads that connect it.

The Göksu stream
A single watercourse winds through the district and gives the town its name, adding a soft, irregular line that contrasts with the straighter streets of the centre.
Radiating roads
Several regional roads leave the compact core toward surrounding valleys, drawing long lines out across the plateau and showing how the town serves as a local crossroads.

Zašto Göksun
Mapa koja nešto znači
People who grew up on the plateau, or who have family ties to Kahramanmaraş, often want something that holds the particular geography of home. A map of Göksun does this without scenery or sentiment, just the arrangement of streets, stream and roads as they actually sit on the land.
The title and subtitle can be changed to a family name, a year or a short line, and the coordinates can stay or be adjusted. Choose Classic black and white for a crisp plan, or Sand for a warmer tone that suits the upland setting.
