Western Branch valley
The Western Branch of the Patuxent River runs through low, wooded ground. On the map its course is an unbuilt ribbon that the surrounding roads bend around rather than cross freely.

Mapa
Greater Upper Marlboro Map Poster & Print
Greater Upper Marlboro surrounds the small town of Upper Marlboro, the seat of Prince George's County in Maryland. From above, the pattern is loose and green. Subdivisions sit on curving cul-de-sacs, long rural lanes run between them, and patches of woodland fill the gaps. The Western Branch of the Patuxent River runs through the low ground, and its valley bends the road network into gentle curves instead of a grid.
Two larger routes give the map its structure. Pennsylvania Avenue, Maryland Route 4, cuts across toward Washington, and US 301 runs north to south on the eastern side. Away from these corridors the streets thin out into farmland and horse country. This corner of the county still keeps some of its older, open character between the growing neighbourhoods.
A Greater Upper Marlboro map poster works best when the frame includes the courthouse town itself, where a few older streets meet in a compact knot, and lets the surrounding lanes fan out toward the edges. In black and white, the creek lines, highway curves and scattered clusters of homes make a quiet study of a place where suburb and countryside overlap.

County seat core
Upper Marlboro has long been the seat of Prince George's County. Its small centre, with the courthouse and a handful of old streets, is the densest knot on an otherwise open sheet.
Route 4 and US 301
Two main highways meet near the town and give the composition clear diagonals. Ramps and service roads add a few sharp geometric loops to the softer suburban curves.
