Heshan Map Poster & Print
Heshan is the central urban district of Yiyang in northern Hunan, on the southern side of the Zi River. From above, the river runs in a wide, steady curve across the map, flowing northeast toward Dongting Lake. The built-up area lies along the water, and its streets form a mix of regular modern blocks and older, smaller lanes near the riverbank.
Away from the river, the land becomes more varied. Low hills, ponds and farmland appear between the districts, and the roads bend around them. On a Heshan map poster the city seems to fade gradually into the countryside, as the dense core gives way to a looser pattern of roads, reservoirs and field boundaries.
Heshan shares the long history of the Yiyang area, a landscape of river valleys and hills shaped by the Zi River and its connection to Dongting Lake, one of the largest lakes in China. Its streets, water and slopes make a quiet, balanced map rather than a dramatic one. It is a portrait of an ordinary Hunan river city, drawn with care.

Riverbank streets
Near the water the lanes are smaller and closer together. Farther away, the blocks grow larger and more regular in the newer parts of the district.
Hills and ponds
Low slopes, reservoirs and scattered ponds break up the outskirts. They soften the transition from city streets to the surrounding countryside.
