Historic old town
The centre of Kirchhain forms a small, dense cluster of irregular streets around its half-timbered town hall, clearly distinct from the more regular housing built later.

Mapa
Kirchhain Map Poster & Print
Kirchhain lies east of Marburg, in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district of Hesse, in the broad agricultural lowland known as the Amöneburg Basin. The river Ohm flows past the town. Because the basin around it is flat, the settlement stands out sharply on a map: a compact cluster of streets surrounded by fields, meadows and the lines of watercourses.
At the centre is a historic old town with narrow streets and a half-timbered town hall. Around it, later residential areas extend in several directions, and the railway runs past, connecting Kirchhain to Marburg and beyond. Nearby, the basalt hill of Amöneburg rises from the plain as a landmark visible across the whole basin.
A Kirchhain map poster shows the contrast between the tight historic core and the open basin around it, with the Ohm tracing a soft line across the frame. It is a natural choice for people from the town and its villages, and for students and alumni of nearby Marburg who came to know the area.

River Ohm
The Ohm winds through the flat basin past the town, a gentle curving line that adds movement to an otherwise open landscape of fields and meadows.
Amöneburg Basin
The wide, low plain around Kirchhain leaves plenty of white space on the map, so the town and its outlying villages read as crisp islands of streets.

Zašto Kirchhain
Mapa koja nešto znači
Kirchhain is small enough for a map to show almost all of it at once, from the old town to the edges of the fields. That completeness makes it a satisfying poster for anyone who grew up here or settled in the area.
You can write the town name, a district or a family name in the title, add a date to the subtitle and edit the coordinates. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as digital files or as a printed poster.
