Planned avenues
The city centre is organised around wide, straight roads and generous blocks, producing a clear, open grid that reads well even at the smaller print sizes.

Mapa
Laixi Map Poster & Print
Laixi is a county-level city administered by Qingdao, lying inland on the Jiaodong Peninsula in eastern Shandong. On a map its urban centre appears as a compact set of broad, straight avenues and large blocks, typical of Chinese cities that expanded rapidly in recent decades. Around it, the land opens into a patchwork of fields, villages and smaller towns.
Water plays an important role in the wider landscape. Rivers cross the area and reservoirs sit in the surrounding countryside, their irregular outlines contrasting with the rectilinear streets of the centre. Road and rail connections link the city with Qingdao to the south, and the map shows how the urban core is threaded into this regional network.
A Laixi map poster presents a quieter side of the Qingdao region, away from the coast and the port. Its appeal lies in the balance between planned geometry and natural forms, between the tidy grid of the town and the loose lines of rivers and farm roads. It makes a thoughtful gift for anyone with roots in this part of Shandong.

Rivers and reservoirs
Waterways and reservoirs in the surrounding area appear as flowing, irregular shapes, softening the edges of the map around the gridded town.
Rural surroundings
Beyond the built-up area, a network of farm roads and village clusters spreads across the plain, giving the outer parts of the poster a fine, scattered texture.
