Mapa
Lapu-Lapu City Map Poster & Print
Lapu-Lapu City covers most of Mactan Island, a low, flat piece of coral land just off the east coast of Cebu. On a map the island reads almost as a single composition: a dense street pattern on the western side facing the Mactan Channel, a long airport runway across the middle, and a looser, scattered edge along the eastern and southern shores, where resorts and fishing villages meet the sea.
The channel is the key line. Two older bridges connect the city to Mandaue on the Cebu side, and a newer expressway link crosses further south from neighbouring Cordova, so the water between the islands is stitched together by road. Mactan-Cebu International Airport, one of the busiest in the country, takes up a large block of the island and puts a strong straight stroke among the curving coastal roads.
The name recalls Lapulapu, the local chieftain whose warriors defeated Ferdinand Magellan's men at the Battle of Mactan in 1521, an event marked by a shrine on the island's northeastern shore. A Lapu-Lapu City map poster brings that story together with a modern island shape. Olango and the smaller islets that belong to the city lie offshore across shallow reef water.

Airport runway
A long, straight runway across the island, one of the few perfectly linear shapes on the map and an instant reference point for anyone who has flown in or out of Cebu.
Reef-edged coast
Along the eastern shore the land breaks into small points, coves and resort frontages, while shallow reef flats surround Olango and the smaller islets further out.

Zašto Lapu-Lapu City
Mapa koja nešto znači
For people from Cebu, or anyone who first reached the Visayas through Mactan airport, this map keeps the island close: the runway, the bridges, and the stretch of coast where a holiday was spent or a family home stands. The digital file costs $9 and comes in six print sizes.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a wedding date or the name of a barangay, then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the island's water-heavy frame especially well.
