Regular town grid
The historic core follows a strict rectangular plan. Uniform blocks and parallel streets give the center of the poster an even, textile-like texture that reads well at every print size.

Mapa
Mercedes Map Poster & Print
From above, Mercedes shows the order of a planned Rio Grande Valley town. Straight streets meet at right angles, blocks repeat at a steady rhythm, and the older center sits close to the railway line. Farther out, the grid loosens into newer subdivisions, and the edges fade into long, rectangular fields.
The ground here is almost perfectly flat, so every feature on the map comes from human hands: roads, rail, drainage ditches and irrigation canals running across the delta plain. The Rio Grande lies a short distance to the south, and the international border follows its meanders. A Mercedes map poster turns this quiet geometry into clean black lines on a pale ground.
Mercedes sits in Hidalgo County and is the long-standing home of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, one of the region's biggest annual events. For people who grew up in the Valley, the town's layout is a familiar part of the landscape between McAllen and Harlingen.

Expressway corridor
A major highway runs east to west past the town and joins the Valley's chain of cities. On the map it shows up as a strong horizontal line against the finer street pattern.
Delta farmland edges
Past the built-up area, long field boundaries and canal lines stretch toward the Rio Grande. These open spaces frame the town and add a slower rhythm around the edges of the print.

Zašto Mercedes
Mapa koja nešto znači
Mercedes is a place people carry with them: livestock-show weekends, family homes on grid streets, the flat light of the Valley. A map of its blocks is a quiet way to keep that close, in a hallway or office far from South Texas.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a year or a meaningful date. Pick one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit the room.
