From above, Mut reads as a town shaped by its valley. Streets gather on the flatter ground near the Göksu River, then thin out where orchards and fields begin. The surrounding terrain is visible even in a line drawing: roads bend to follow contours, and the built area stops where the slopes of the Taurus Mountains take over.
Mut sits in the interior of Mersin province, on the route between the Mediterranean coast and the Anatolian plateau. The town is usually linked with ancient Claudiopolis, and a medieval castle still stands above the centre. On a map that history appears as a small knot of older, irregular lanes. The newer blocks around it are laid out in straighter lines.

A medieval castle overlooks the town. Around the older centre the street pattern turns tighter and less regular, which gives the middle of the poster a denser texture.
Roads through the mountains
Routes leave Mut toward the coast and toward the plateau, bending with the terrain. On the poster they read as long curved lines running out of a compact centre.
