Three village cores
Nijlen, Kessel and Bevel each form their own cluster of streets. On the poster they read as three separate points joined by country roads, which is how the municipality actually works day to day.

Mapa
Nijlen Map Poster & Print
Nijlen is a municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp, made up of three centres: Nijlen itself, Kessel and Bevel. Seen from above, it is not one town but a small constellation. Each village has its own compact core around a church, and ribbons of houses stretch along the roads that link them. Between these ribbons lie fields, woodland and meadow.
The landscape belongs to the Kempen, the sandy region of northern Belgium, and the map shows it clearly. Straight rural roads meet at shallow angles, patches of forest break up the farmland, and the valley of the Kleine Nete runs along the area as a gentle corridor of green. The railway between Antwerp and Herentals crosses the municipality, with stops in Kessel and Nijlen.
A Nijlen map poster captures that loose, spread-out shape. Street lines gather into three small knots, and the gaps between them are just as important as the built-up areas. It is a quiet, balanced composition that suits a place defined by its villages rather than by one dominant centre.

Antwerp–Herentals railway
The railway runs across the municipality as a firm, straight line. It stands out clearly against the softer pattern of village lanes and gives the composition a strong diagonal.
Kempen woodland edges
Sandy soils mean pockets of forest and heath appear between the fields. They leave open spaces in the street network, and those clearings give the map room to breathe.
