Mapa
North Ridgeville Map Poster & Print
North Ridgeville covers a wide stretch of flat Lorain County land west of Cleveland. From above it reads as a patchwork: old section roads running straight for miles, with newer housing tucked into the blocks between them. Inside each block, cul-de-sacs curl like fingerprints. The city covers a lot of ground for its population, so there is plenty of open space between the drawn lines.
The ridge in the name refers to low beach ridges left by an ancient, larger ancestor of Lake Erie. Several older routes follow that slightly higher, drier ground. Center Ridge Road, which carries US 20 east to west through town, is the clearest example. On paper these lines give the street pattern a quiet logic that follows the shape of the land rather than a surveyor's ruler.
The city grew as Cleveland's suburbs pushed west, and the map shows that growth in layers. First come the farm-road spacing, then the loops of housing, then the junction where Interstate 480 begins at the Ohio Turnpike. A North Ridgeville map poster shows that slow expansion in simple black lines. It suits a place people know as home rather than from a postcard.

Section-road grid
Long rural roads laid out at wide intervals still frame the city, and each large square is filled with its own small network of curving residential streets.
Turnpike junction
Interstate 480 begins at the Ohio Turnpike here, and the ramps and sweeping curves of the interchange make a bold, geometric mark on the map.
