Tamil Nadu's traditional rain-fed tanks are among the largest shapes on the map. Their embankments and inlet channels show up clearly in every style.

Pudukkottai Map Poster & Print
This Pudukkottai lies just west of Madurai in southern Tamil Nadu. It should not be confused with the larger district town of the same name further to the north-east. The name is shared by several places in the state. The settlement is small and closely connected to the villages and roads around it, on the plains that stretch away from the city towards the Western Ghats.
From above, the picture is made of short streets and house clusters, plus the irrigation tanks that are typical of this part of Tamil Nadu. These man-made reservoirs appear on the map as broad, irregular shapes, often edged with bunds and linked by channels. Farmland covers the gaps between them, divided into narrow plots.
A Pudukkottai map poster of this place is less about monuments and more about the pattern of settlement in the region. A few roads carry traffic towards Madurai, while the rest is a mesh of lanes and field boundaries. On paper, the result is balanced and quiet, and the water tanks act as its main shapes.

Road to Madurai
Main roads link the settlement with the city to the east. On the print they form straighter, stronger lines through the finer local pattern.
Field mosaic
Narrow cultivated plots surround the houses, and their boundaries create a fine texture. It fills the outer part of the frame.

Zašto Pudukkottai
Mapa koja nešto znači
If this Pudukkottai is the place your family comes from, a map is a precise way to remember it, and it avoids any confusion with the better-known town of the same name. The coordinates line pins it to exactly the right spot.
Name the poster however you like, perhaps adding the family house or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint renders the tanks and channels in a crisp, technical way.
